British High Commission - Garden Seats

This prestigious project had a very stringent brief - the materials and construction had to withstand temperatures in excess of 42 centigrade and continuous rain for parts of the year.
Burmese teak with high resin content was chosen for its ability to withstand decay and care was taken in the construction: water run off angles and contraction pegged joints.
The seats display finely carved 'Britannia' Foreign and Commonwealth coats of Arms.
